# Execute

Execute is a practitioner project by KDA (kda.zone) on execution and delivery: what it takes to actually get things produced and shipped, and what the research on goal pursuit and execution discipline says about closing the gap between intent and outcome. The project works through four threads: the concept of a deliverable and how to define it, finishing things (the closing stretch of a project), recognising when you are working on the wrong thing, and avoiding the mistakes that recur in real delivery work. Draws on Peter Gollwitzer's research on implementation intentions, Locke and Latham's goal-setting theory, Bossidy and Charan's Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done, and McChesney, Covey, and Huling's 4 Disciplines of Execution.
